Last week, Lauren Sparks wrote an article entitled, “A Lesson in Giving Thanks From the Passover“, in which she shared a lovely song of thanksgiving from the Jewish tradition.
Inspired by the words, I penned my own version–offering praise to the King of heaven and thanking Him for why our God is enough.
He is Today’s Dayeinu: Enough for Us
If He had rescued us from hell
but not punished the Evil one
it would have been enough!
If He had rescued us from hell but not punished the Evil one it would have been enough! #Godisenough #gratitude Share on XIf he had not punished those the Evil one
or overcome all strongholds,
it would have been enough…
If he had given us the Sabbath
but not led us to the cross,
it would have been enough…
If he had led us to the cross,
but not given us the Holy Spirit,
it would have been enough…
If he had given us the Holy Spirit,
but not brought us into the Kingdom
it would have been enough…
How much more, then, are we to be grateful to God
for all of these good things which he has indeed done
for all of us!
Perhaps you, too, will write your own song of praise and Thanksgiving. How has God been your enough in this challenging year?
Peace and grace,
Tammy
