Speaking & Coaching

Perseverance

Tammy is a Christian writer, speaker, and life coach navigating life’s twists and turns in her husband, four children–two teens and two young adults, and one eighty-five pound lap dog. Tammy speaks to faith-based groups as well as secular organizations.

Her goal is to impact women’s lives and assist educators and advocates by encouraging and equipping them with hope and practical support.

Would you like to know someone else understands what it is like to be a survivor of a traumatic childhood? A woman who has struggled with real-life issues?

Or, are you an educator, advocate, or other professional seeking a passionate speaker to share both from personal experience as well as a place of practical understanding?

Then pull up a chair, make yourself comfortable, and visit for a while.

Tammy has written for such publications as The Upper Room, MOPS, and the National Association of Adult Survivors of Child Abuse (NAASCA).  She speaks at mom’s groups, education conferences, and women’s ministry events, and more.

You can meet with Tammy here each week on this blog, find her on Facebook at Tammy L Kennington, on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/tammylkennington/ , or on Twitter.

Abandoned, Unloved, and Unworthy

Tammy delivers her signature talk with vulnerable honesty, inviting women into her own heart and story as she explores the lies we believe when we feel abandoned, unloved, and unworthy.

Abandoned, Unloved and Unworthy will:

  • guide women toward identifying the One who can meet the deep needs we each have to be seen, heard, and loved unconditionally
  • help listeners recognize areas in which they’ve given heed to lies that hamper their identity
  • remind women that they are never alone in their struggles as they explore the Biblical story of Hagar

Adverse Childhood Experiences and the Classroom Teacher

  • Brain development in the child who has experienced trauma
  • What it means for classroom learning
  • Practical tips for supporting students with traumatic backgrounds

Some days we just need to cry out to the only One who can be our refuge in the storm. ⠀
I love this verse. It speaks to the quiet, introverted side of me that prefers to listen, watch, and learn. But a quick study revealed something interesting about the Hebrew phrase "need only to be still". ⠀

Such wisdom today...Whose voice are we heeding? Are we filling our ears and hearts with God’s word and people who direct us toward Him or are we listening to vices that speak words of hopelessness and fear? Division and derision?
